At the center of all things lies the city of Sigil. Neither Gods nor Deities holds have power here. Within it it can be found portals to even the most far flung of planes and most obscure of worlds. The city takes the form a giant wheel that turns on a giant hub called the Spire. This is ofcourse the center for the incredibly cool planscape setting of (back then TSR) D&D. The characters this painting feature are from the Black Isle game called: Planescape : torment. In the center is the Nameless one: somewhat forgotten by death, he can be hurt he just cant die. Every time he wakes up in the mortuary he is without memory of his past. He searches the multi-verse for clues about his past and has become jaded to the extreme by his experiences, so that not even the din of battle can light his face. he faces the Shadows:servants of the Lady of Pain, ruler of Sigil. sketches will be linked here in the future and will be added to my scraps page [link] Citadel Colours paints and inks, sketch/done in grafite pencil underneath original painting on paper colors tweaked in photoshop please let me know what you think CommentsThis is all kinds of awesome
Great drawing AND offcourse painting! Love the composition, very lively. Only thing is the flying skull sorta looks like it don't fit in. It's too happy and the grin looks like it could belong to Chris Tucker I like how you did the transparency of the shadow things and the white highlights. Did you use white ink or white paint for that? I can never seem to get a good effect with white paint, it always messes things up ..Anyway, all kinds of awesome Nick! -- "Don't dip your oar in this sordid sea, Dick. You might be besmirched." -Bruce why Thank you miss Michelle,
I really enjoyed myself on this one and I think it shows. the skull... I knew I should have added something 'bout it in the description. Basically it has the grin, because in the computer game Planescape: torment, that's what he does. He grins. A lot. He's called Morte and he is an sarcastic anoying little sidekick. used white and very light grays as highlights and a shitload of grey and black washes. thanx again girl, Nick -- my portfolio: [link] Wow nou dit is een uberstoer plaatje.
-- --Exitus Acta Probat-- --If at first you don't succeed, you're obviously not Chuck Norris-- Yes it is hard to find a copy. Bought mine when it came out, even then, it was a rare game. I think I finished it like 3 times..
